Your journey begins with an 8:00 am departure from Marrakech. Travel across the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi N'Tichka Pass, where you'll admire the breathtaking views.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village famous for its appearance in many films. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert, and then on to the scenic Dades Valley for an overnight stay in a charming guesthouse.
After breakfast, drive through the picturesque Todra Gorges, known for their towering red cliffs. Continue the journey to Merzouga, where the desert adventure begins. Ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets, and arrive at your desert camp for a night under the stars. Enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine around a campfire and soak in the tranquility of the Sahara.
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel to Merzouga. Travel through the scenic Draa Valley, known for its lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs. After lunch in a local village, head back to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon, marking the end of your desert adventure.
Pack light, breathable clothing for the day, and warmer layers for the evening, as desert temperatures can drop at night. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat are also recommended.
